An old collage about priorities.
I started a collage journal over the weekend and anything new is going in it. The paper works for the 5X7 sized collages I do in the mornings. Most get posted on "Scrapiteria" collage group blog site, eventually. I am posting an old collage I did that deals with druggies priorities in life. I may have nothing but "hey I got a great watch". It is called Stairway to Heaven.

Joy, I am awed by your use of texture here! I love the way you used the torn "skins"...reminds me of Romare B. Very foreceful composition and message. Your style is very eclectic and I love that about you! YAY!
I love the layers and torn edges. It is frightening as imagery and reminds me many people I have known. Fantastic movement. And, it looks like an album cover, cool!
Very powerful collage! I love the layers and the snake skin. And the watch! Although, my kid would have pawned the watch.
Very well done. I also like the torn edges and think they look good compared to clean ones in this case. Maybe this is a technique you always use and I hadn't realized that before, not having seen many of your collages yet.
It is in the quiet morning hours of blogging and I am just walking up. To answer your question. My images are done digitally with Paintshop Pro. I must have more coffee, because I am barely functioning.
Hey Joy, wanna read some bubble gum fluff about me? I followed your advice and I posted something.. Your turn!!! :)
I like this one. Very interesting. Held my attention for quite some time. As always Joy, thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such sweet comments. They are always appreciated :)
That's an immensely powerful collage! I say it would make a great book cover.
Beautiful collage, I really like the technique you've used.
Thanks for the comment on my blog, I had to delete the blog entry that you commented on (long story!)so sadly I lost your comment too, I hope you're not offended.
This is lovely and strong - the snakeskin and thought of molting and growing - gives one much to imagine, consider and dwelve into the work. Thank you for your visit - looks like we travel in similar blog circles. I really like a lot of Dylan.
Not sure if you are interested but here is a Yesterday's Pictures group - a bit quiet now because one of founders in hospitalized. Please consider adding your input.
Congrats on the love birds - you are enabling them - great compliment that they bred. Regards.
