I had a vivid art dream last night

I wanted to stay in my dream til the lesson was learned. I dreamt I was in a oil pastel class and was so excited. I was learning all about oil pastels from a major artist. His work was so stunning and detailed in my dream. I rarely remember dreams so this was unique. I am guessing this is a sign of a need to try out oil pastels right away. I took one couple of hours class under a local artist but never really spent any time trying them out. This is how my portal series came to me,then had to be done. Maybe my muse is waking up for Spring? The piece above is a paper scene "Ocean at night".

Wow, great dream! I dreamt about my altered book! lol.

Lovely collage here, simple but I love the texture.

Beautiful, Joy! Aren't dreams so meaningful sometimes? Sometimes they don't make a lick of sense and other times, we know just what they're telling us. This is lovely and dreamy on it's own!

I have regular oil pastels and the water soluble kind, but I haven't worked much with either. Let me know what you learn. Beautiful paper work.

Joy, very nice piece. The layering and use of open space makes this stunning.
