The afternoon nap

After several cups of coffee and the morning paper,I readied a few art journal pages. Then I showered for work and already I was thinking about how good an afternoon nap would feel. It was blustery snow and cold this morning. On my travels I watched a bum feeding pigeons out of his pocket. Then he bent down and took a piece for himself off the sidewalk, from the pile he fed to them. I really love observing people from my car. You certainly catch a patchwork of life in the city.

love the page-the background is great, like a quilt!

stopped by to tell you that I am starting a new blog:) I guess I can't tell everyone who has left a comment, but thought I would spread the word a little so I am not lonely over there!

I love this collage! Especially the bent waist and the carefree feel-good atmosphere you created.

Question: what do you mean you prep the journal pages? If I use gesso on paper, it always becomes too yucky or if it works, it is so hard to draw/paint/whatever over it. Can you have a tech post for people like me who happen to be technically clueless when collages involve more than glue, paper, and scissors?

Sorry for being AWOL for so long. Missed ya lots :)

Your journal pages are always so inspiring. I think my new year's resolution will be to keep an art journal.
